Donald Trump's corporate empire, using its octopus-like entities and their tentacles, is pulling in big bucks from his presidential bid supporters. Those unrelenting, mostly white people who think he can do no wrong, even though he's taking their money and putting it right into his own companies, through his campaign, of course. It's all legal. Well... maybe, but there's a huge sleaze element associated with all of this. And let's not forget, it was Trump at the start of his campaign who said he was going to self-fund his entire campaign, and that he wasn't going to take a dime from Super Pacs or anyone else. Remember this?
Things changed, however, this past May when Trump signed on with the Republican National Committee and immediately began taking in millions of dollars for his "campaign". According to a September 6, 2016 Huffington Post article Trump then reimbursed his campaign for most of the money he had spent months earlier during his primary run. So he lied "Bigly" when he said he was going to self-fund his campaign, including his primary run.
That same article points out:
"Even as Trump has skimped on traditional expenses like campaign staff or advertising, he has spent campaign money lavishly on his own businesses."
Since the beginning, Trump has hosted campaign parties at almost every stop, and his companies and/or his family's businesses all benefit from those events, one way or another. His campaign buys cases and cases of wine from his son Eric's winery. His donors pay for Trump to fly all over the country on his personal jet. The events are run by one or more of his event hosting compaies. He quadrupled the rent at Trump Towers when his campaign started paying for office space for his campaign.
Trump is getting rich from his supporters, regardless of the outcome of his presidential run.
One thing we must give Trump credit for is his art of the deal. He knows how to turn everything connected to him into cold hard cash. Even a run for President of the United States. Win or lose, he will win "BIGLY", folks.
You, his supporters, will lose. And that's the way Donald Trump likes it.
