Twitter Crashes in a BIG Way
Twitter has crashed in a big way. The online social networking site has been down for nearly an hour this afternoon. Not a good sign when you are a world-renowned site.

Musings
We love that Jane Lynch (Glee, Best in Show, etc.) and her character Sue Sylvester is now immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds. In addition to being a super talented comedian, actress and singer - Jane is out and proud and a huge asset to the gay community. Go Jane!
Is it just us or has Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock from the Sun and recently starring in Inception) turned into one sexy and talented young man??? That's him to the left. Caught him on SNL a couple months back, too, and he was singing and dancing!
Check out this very inspirational story from a young man who just recently learned he was HIV positive Young Man Opens Up About HIV Diagnosis
The U.S. Senate voted 63-37 to confirm Elena Kagan as the 112th justice on the Supreme Court. Kagan becomes the fourth woman ever to sit on the prestigious bench.

Prop 8 Is Dead - Gays in California Can Marry
The judge has ruled Prop 8 Unconstitutional and thereby give the rights of marriage to gays in California. Sure there will be an appeal, but WE WIN!
“Because Proposition 8 is unconstitutional under both the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses, the court orders entry of judgment permanently enjoining its enforcement; prohibiting the official defendants from applying or enforcing Proposition 8 and directing the official defendants that all persons under their control or supervision shall not apply or enforce Proposition 8.”

Day of Decision for California on Prop 8
Today is the big day. Judge Vaughn Walker will hand down his decision in the Prop. 8 case -- the federal challenge to California's gay-marriage ban. We are all hoping he will overturn the ban. Thus, allowing gays to choose whether to marry or not and share the same equal rights as everyone else.
There are three major questions Walker has to answer:
Fingers crossed.

There are three major questions Walker has to answer:
1. Do gays qualify as a protected minority?Ruling in favor of same-sex-marriage proponents on any one of these motions will likely lead Walker to overturn Prop. 8
2. Is there a good enough reason to restrict marriage to just straight people?
3. Is marriage -- in particular, same-sex marriage -- a fundamental right?
Fingers crossed.

Leave Craigslist Alone
Why is Craigslist suddenly the bad guy? Pretty much everyone in the U.S. uses Craigslist for something. The online listing service had made all of our lives much easier. Gone are the days you have to pay to place ads in local penny saver or other rag papers to sell that rusty, old bike. And there's the convenience and again FREE apartment rental and home sale listings!
But it always comes down to sex or "adult" material to create a big stir and debate. Ever since the "Craigslist Killer" in Boston was caught and it was discovered that he had met his victim via an adult "massage" ad, the online listing service has been under fire. Critics claim the free service has created an atmosphere that puts anyone looking for free sex, paying for it or getting paid for it in danger (Craigslist started charging for any adult postings after the Boston murder).
What these same critics have forgotten is that before Craigslist, there were and continues to be those 800 or 900# adult services. And those "sex" newspapers in EVERY city. What have officials done about these services that get the same people meeting on Craigslist together?
Nothing. So the real point from these critics is pretty simple: They just don't like that Craigslist makes having sex easier. It makes meeting up with an escort easier. Bottom line - these people will find each other on way or another. We can't protect everyone. We're all adults.
If you're going to restrict our beloved listing service, then you will have to place the same rules/laws on all of the hard publications around the country that print any adult ads or listings. And we know that will not happen.
So grow up. We like Craigslist

Movies Lately - Kids Are All Right, Inception, Salt...
Okay, so I've seen a few movies lately and here are my thoughts.
"The Kids Are All Right" w/ Julianne Moore and Annette Bening was fantastic. Just go see it. Two lesbian moms raising a couple of teenagers in present day. Damn good. Damn funny. Mark Roffolo (did I spell that correctly) was a scene-stealer.
I hate to say I like a move for it's special effects, but that's really what I liked about "Inception". It's a very deep and VERY long movie that leaves you feeling like you just took a ride on a roller coaster. Your eyes are left PINGED and you're like... "Whoa!" But then later when someone asks what it's about you find yourself at a loss for words. So you say something like, "Well, it was about dreaming but in your awake state... and - really cool special effects. You should see it." But I especially like what Conan OBrien tweeted about it. "I refuse to see Inception because I am worried it will confuse me. I had trouble following "Marley and Me.""
And finally, I just saw "Salt" this past weekend and you know what? I liked it. Tons of action. And Angelie Jolie really is a great actress. She did a kick ass job while... kicking a lot of ass. If you like espionage and spy thrillers, this one is right up your alley. Never a dull moment. Go see it.
