CNN's Rick Sanchez Calls Obama

CNN anchor, today, called Barack Obama "the cotton-pickin' president". All hell broke loose immediately in this age of instant global response on Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Was it a slip-of-the-tongue? Probably. But these days, when you anchor a news program seen all over the world you CANNOT have "slip-ups" like this. Remember, "cotton picking" has always been a widely known euphemism against blacks, referring back to the days when slaves picked cotton.

Sanchez quickly apologized.  Feel like Dr. Laura much, Rick?
